Chinese New Year 2016

On February 20, 2016 we had a wonderful annual Chinese New Year Celebration! People came to learn about and experience traditional Chinese culture through food demonstrations, live performances and art classes and exhibits.

In 2016, we celebrated the Year of the Monkey. People with the monkey sign (1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968,1980, 1992, 2004, 2016, 2028…) are said to be smart, quick-witted and frank. Monkeys are also generally considered adventurous, optimistic and ambitious. Recommended careers for Monkeys are accounting and banking, science, engineering and film directing.
